In response to German Chancellor Merz’s irresponsible statement that all limits are off for Ukraine to launch long-range missiles into Russia, Igor Korotchenko, a long-established military analyst, editor-in-chief of the journal Natsionalnaya Oborona (National Defense) said the following yesterday on Russia’s “60 Minutes Show”: “How should Russia react to this? In such a case, we must first destroy/raze these factories as a one-time and demonstrative deterrent measure, for example, with two Oreshnik missiles carrying 12 hypersonic blocks of non-nuclear warheads, so that Germany will no longer be able to build such cruise missiles in the next five to seven years. This will first be a non-nuclear strike. Before that, we must clearly articulate the legal and political-legal justification for this measure, both to Trump, our EU opponents, and at the UN, so that they finally understand what is at stake.”
