Over May 30-31, an ugly group of war-hungry, London-directed geopoliticians gathered under the auspices of the Black Sea Security Forum in Odessa, Ukraine to discuss the destruction of the Russian Federation under the title “The Great Chessboard: Mid-Game.” The title was appropriate for followers of madman geopolitician Zbigniew Brzezinski and his ideological forebear Halford Mackinder. The nasty cast of characters attending the Forum’s second annual conference also included as its star speaker former CIA Director and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo who demanded nothing less than total war against and “total victory” over Russia (see separate slug).
An array of like-minded zealots also attended from the U.K., Australia, Ukraine and the U.S. Sponsors included the Atlantic Council, the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung, the International Republican Institute, the American Enterprise Institute, Ukrainian media, among many others.
Founded in 2024, the Security Forum is directly tied to the international break-up-Russia apparatus. Its Chairman of the Board is Oleksii Goncharenko, a member of the Ukrainian Rada and Ukraine’s representative to Europe’s PACE committee, who gave a speech in January of this year saying that the assassination of Vladimir Putin “would be the best investment in the world.” In comments to CNN May 16, posted to X he insisted that Putin will never seriously negotiate for peace and therefore “must be stopped.”
Goncharenko works closely with the Hudson Institute’s Luke Coffey, participating in the joint Hudson Institute-Jamestown Foundation seminar in February 2023 titled “Preparing for the Dissolution of the Russian Federation.” Coffey was beside himself with joy over the successful “surprise” he said Ukraine had delivered to Russia’s nuclear-capable aircraft on June 1.
