China-Africa Trade Expo Ends with Many Deals, Expansion Prospects

The fourth China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo in Changsha ended on June 15 with numerous contracts signed, indicating that China and Africa are continuing to deepen their economic cooperation. By midday on Sunday, June 15, over 200,000 visitors had attended the fair—twice as many as the previous session.

A total of 176 projects worth $11.39 billion were signed at the fair. These two figures are 45.8% and 10.6% higher than at the last event in 2023. Around 2,100 companies took part, including 764 companies from 43 African countries. A total of 12,000 Chinese and international buyers were represented. More than 200 African agricultural product sales were concluded during the four-day fair.
