Confronted by a reporter on June 20 about the apparent discrepancy between his and DNI Tulsi Gabbard’s views on Iran’s pursuit of a nuclear weapon, President Trump doubled down on his earlier instance that his Director of National Intelligence was wrong:
“What intelligence do you have that Iran is building a nuclear weapon? Your intelligence community had said they have no evidence that they are at this point,” the reporter asked.
“Well, then my intelligence community is wrong. Who in the intelligence community said that?” Trump responded.
