Germans Rally in Schrobenhausen against Sending Taurus Missiles to Ukraine

Some 700 peace activists participated today in the protest rally in the town of Schrobenhausen against the intent of German Chancellor Friedrich Merz to deliver Taurus cruise missiles to the Zelenskyy regime in Ukraine, and thereby push Germany into a war with Russia. The missiles are produced in Schrobenhausen, Bavaria.

The Schiller Institute had initiated the rally, which other peace groups joined. The speeches demonstrated a spirit of sovereignty, and the citizens participating in the rally were lively.

Werner Zuse from the Schiller Institute pointed to the role of Friedrich Schiller, and how in the crisis, people have to grow to become world historical individuals. As a reference, he reminded those listening of the 1648 Peace of Westphalia. A new, just economic order is needed, he insisted. Colonialism is a stinking, outmoded order and the BRICS are the future, he explained.
