Reports emerged overnight of U.S. military movements towards Southwest Asia. According to a report in The War Zone, as many as 30 KC-135 and KC-46 U.S. Air Force air refueling tankers were seen on flight tracking websites heading east from their base in the U.S. to over the North Atlantic. Not revealed is where they landed or the mission for which they are being deployed. “The mysterious migration could signal a major contingency being put in place or even a change in U.S. policy on the Iran-Israel war,” TWZ says. They could soon be supporting the Israeli Air Force, which has very limited air refueling capability of its own, in its campaign against Iran, or they could be intended to support U.S. entry into the war on the side of Israel. There are dozens of U.S. combat aircraft at U.S. bases in the region plus four B-52 bombers are reported to be at the Diego Garcia airbase in the Indian Ocean.
