On the occasion of Youth Day, Russian President Vladimir Putin addressed remarks, via videoconference, to the opening ceremonies for youth centers across Russia, according to an account on the President’s website. Putin remarked that the occasion is “a testament to your and your peers’ huge and meaningful role in Russia’s life.”
He added: “The country is dynamically developing, building and pursuing plans for decades to come with your active engagement.… We specially focus and will keep focusing on creating conditions for everyone to fully tap into their potential because this will determine what will become of our country in the middle and the second half of the 21st century.”
