Russia Launches Another Group Strike Against Ukrainian Military Targets

For at least the fourth night in a row, Russian forces launched a group strike against military targets in Ukraine using drones and precision weapons on the night of June 9-10 but this time not characterizing the strikes as retaliatory. According to a Russian Defense Ministry statement, the group strike targeted “Ukrainian aviation, missile, armored and shipbuilding industry enterprises in Kiev, command and control posts and locations of the AFU [Armed Forces of Ukraine], clusters of weapons and military hardware of the Ukrainian formations as well as infrastructure of military airfields, ammunition and fuel depots.”

The Ukrainian air force said Russia had attacked Ukraine with 322 drones and missiles since the evening of June 9, some 284 of which it claimed were successfully intercepted.

TASS also cites the Russian Defense Ministry reporting that Russian air defenses intercepted and destroyed 102 Ukrainian drones over Russian regions overnight, including 46 shot down over the Bryansk Region, 20 over the Belgorod Region, 9 over the Voronezh Region and 9 over the Republic of Crimea. The rest were scattered over seven other regions.
