Sleazy British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer has been bragging about his role in initiating criticism of the Netanyahu Zionist regime’s genocidal attacks on the Palestinian population in Gaza and the West Bank. Starmer joined with French President Emmanuel Macron and the Canadian stand-in for the Malthusian King Charles of Canada, to warn Netanyahu that there will be “consequences” if the slaughter of Palestinians continues.
British author and blogger Jonathan Cook exposed Starmer’s fake commitment to defending human rights in a June 5 column published by “Declassified UK,” titled “Why Is the U.K. Sheltering Israel’s Genocide-Inciting Ambassador?” Instead of making idle threats, Cook identifies actions which Starmer could take, such as to “stop shipping arms to Israel, and stop transferring weapons from the United States and Germany. He could stop supplying Israel with intelligence from British spy planes that have been constantly operating over Gaza from RAF’s Akrotiri base on Cyprus.
“He could recognize Palestine. He could prosecute British-Israeli soldiers taking part in the genocide. He could stop hosting suspected Israeli war criminals in London, as Declassified has documented. He could tear up special trade agreements with Israel.”
Instead of taking such actions, Starmer has been protecting the Israeli Ambassador to London Tzipi Hotovely, despite a campaign which gathered more than 170,000 petition signatures to expel her in December 2023. Cook points out that Hotovely “is not a diplomat. She is a hard-right politician—a loyal ally of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu—who has served for the past 20 months as the leading apologist and cheerleader for genocide on British soil.”
