That is what Kirill Dmitriev, the CEO of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) and Putin special envoy for economic cooperation, wrote on his Telegram channel on June 5, according to TASS.
“‘Yesterday’s telephone conversation between President Vladimir Putin of Russia and President Donald Trump of the United States took place in a constructive atmosphere, predictably causing panic in the Western deep state and the media it controls,’ he wrote on Telegram. According to Dmitriev, it’s such signals of a possible dialogue and de-escalation that disrupt ‘their usual way of operating, predicated on lies and confrontation.’”
TASS added: “Dmitriev pointed out that the West and the media under its control saw any prospect for dialogue and cooperation as a direct threat to the system built on what he called ‘managed instability.’ However, it’s cooperation, not confrontation, that serves the real interests of the majority of countries in the world, contributing to the strengthening of global security, the official stressed.”
