Drawn deeper and deeper into the British-Israeli “breakaway ally” abyss, United States military assets appear continuing to prepare for a Presidential decision to begin an undeclared war against Iran. In the latest reported move, on June 21, an undetermined number of U.S. Air Force B-2 stealth bombers departed Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri, with aerial refueling support from eight KC-135 Stratotankers, and heading initially for Guam according to a Jerusalem Post report. These bombers are uniquely capable of delivering the heaviest U.S. “bunker buster” bombs, which may or may not be capable of seriously damaging Iran’s enrichment facility at Fordo.

In addition, there are now reported to be five U.S. Navy guided-missile destroyers in the Eastern Mediterranean Sea participating in the ballistic missile defense of Israel. USS Paul Ignatius and USS Oscar Austin, both based in Rota, Spain, have joined, or are on the way to joining, the USS Arleigh Burke, USS Thomas Hudner and USS The Sullivans, which were already there, according to the U.S. Naval Institute News. In addition, the United States has two guided-missile destroyers operating in the Red Sea—USS Forrest Sherman and USS Truxtun.

Meanwhile, the Navy announced June 20 that the aircraft carrier USS Gerald R. Ford, along with four guided-missile destroyers will depart Norfolk for Europe on June 24. And satellite imagery, dated June 19, emerged yesterday showing 22 KC-135 air refueling tankers, 53 F-16 fighter jets, and 10 C-130 Hercules transports on the ramp at Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia.

It was reported that U.S. President Donald Trump was departing Bedminster, New Jersey for Washington, D.C. on June 21, Saturday afternoon, for further deliberations.
