Voices from within Trump's Base and U.S. Congress Insist, No War with Iran

“The American people overwhelmingly oppose our endless wars, and they voted that way when they voted for Donald Trump in 2024. I urge President Trump to stay the course, keep putting America first, and to not join in any war between other countries. Every American should hope and pray for peace,” Republican Sen. Rand Paul wrote on June 13, after the Israeli war on Iran was underway. That post followed an earlier, shorter message which read simply: “No war with Ira. The Neocons latest plan must be opposed.” Attached was a message from Sean Davis, detailing 25 years of “the fruits of neocon American foreign policy.”

Tucker Carlson, with his huge following, warned Trump in his June 13 Tucker Carlson Network newsletter that “direct U.S. involvement in a war with Iran would be a middle finger in the faces of the millions of voters who cast their ballots in hopes of creating a government that would finally put the United States first. What happens next will define Donald Trump’s presidency.” Carlson cautioned the President: “Drop Israel. Let them fight their own wars.”

Charlie Kirk, a Trump and Israeli shill par excellence, told Fox News June 13 that young Trump supporters could break from the President if he heeds any “clamoring for the U.S. to adopt an offensive strategy against Iran…. One of the main reasons we were able to get young people to vote for President Trump so overwhelmingly in the last election was a reminder that he is the peace president” who makes big “peace deals.” Kirk’s Turning Point USA operation had pulled a lot of youth into the Trump camp.
