According to a retired Italian high military source, Ukrainian drones do not simply fly through NATO airspace, but they are started from NATO territories, in particular from the Baltic states. What happens, though, is that Russia automatically responds by reversing the route of those drones.
“Sooner or later Russia will get one of them,” the source stated. One probable scenario is that Lithuania would implement a blockade of Kaliningrad, in which case the source gave an 80% likelihood that “Moscow will take Lithuania.” He believes that NATO would not react in this case. The same goes for Estonia. However, those little countries might flip. The case of Latvia shows that they are already getting cold feet. Poland is also not very stable, from that standpoint.
At the same time, the source is worried because of the Israeli grip on U.S. policy, and the indulgence of the Europeans for Netanyahu’s crimes. “Who prevents us from implementing sanctions, for actions that have no qualifications except ‘crimes'?”
