France and Britain Board and Divert Tanker Allegedly Carrying Russian Oil in International Waters

The French Navy, in the nature of pirates of yore, stopped and boarded the oil tanker Tagor, May 31, supposedly carrying oil for Russia, in open international waters 400 nautical miles west of Brittany in France, and then diverted it to the Bay of Douarnenez in Brittany. ‘Le Grand Amiral Pirate’ Emmanuel Macron wrote in a May 31 post on X, that the tanker was intercepted with the support of Great Britain, which provided tracking support. Macron wrote imperiously further, “The French Navy intercepted a new tanker under international sanctions yesterday morning… Our determination is steadfast and unwavering.”

The eight NATO nations bordering the Baltic Sea are threatening to intercept oil tankers which carry Russian oil, which they call the “Russian Shadow Fleet,” when they sail on the Baltic Sea. This is extremely dangerous British brinkmanship, intended to force a showdown with Russia, giving the European nations a possible pathway to get into a shooting war with Russia.

At a press conference June 1, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov condemned the Tagor seizure, stating, “We consider such actions illegal, bordering on international piracy.”
