More Than 1,000 Economic Agreements Signed at SPIEF

Anton Kobyakov, Russian Presidential Advisor and Executive Secretary of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) organizing committee announced on June 6 that more than 1,000 agreements worth $90.5 billion were signed at the just-concluded SPIEF conference.

“Representatives from 142 countries around the world took part in the event. The Forum also demonstrated that Western investors are showing cautious interest in returning to Russia. A total of 1,084 agreements worth [$9.63 billion] were signed at the forum,” Kobyakov said. “The total number of participants exceeded 24,500 people. For the first time in 10 years, an official US delegation took part in the forum,” he added.

Governor of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov said that his city alone reached 74 agreements worth nearly $10 billion.
