A bus from the Belarus city of Gomel traveling through Bryansk Region in Russia, en route to a youth sports camp on the Black Sea coast, was hit by a Ukrainian drone on Wednesday. A teacher-chaperone was killed and some of the schoolchildren on the bus have been hospitalized. The matter is now under criminal investigation. It is not clear if the bus was targeted specifically, perhaps with the intent of bringing Belarus into the conflict, something that Belarus President, Alexander Lukashenko, has been eager to avoid. Belarus has refrained from reacting to Ukrainian provocations so far. However, it has increased troops along its border with Ukraine.
