‘60 Minutes’ Dredges Up ‘Orphan Scandal’ To Discredit the Vatican

CBS’s most popular propaganda mouthpiece, “60 Minutes” on July 12 aired a story about how the Vatican between 1950 and 1970 organized an adoption program, which brought Italian children from impoverished homes, and some, the children of unwed mothers, to the United States for adoption. In many cases the mothers were not told where their children ended up. The program highlighted a 2024 book entitled The Price of Children, by one Maria Laurino.
