Ukrainian drones struck logistics centers belonging to Ozon, Russia’s second-largest online retailer, at four locations across southern Russia overnight into Monday. In Krasnodar, drone debris fell on a private children’s facility, killing three children aged 13, 15 and 16, according to Russia’s Presidential Commissioner for Children’s Rights, Maria Lvova-Belova, as compiled by TASS. Twelve people were injured and ten hospitalized, six of them children, the regional emergency response headquarters said; Alexey Kuznetsov, aide to the deputy health minister, said six children were in moderate condition and two adults in serious condition. Debris also struck residential buildings, including apartment blocks under construction, Governor Veniamin Kondratyev said. One of those killed was a 15-year-old girl from Sochi, that city’s mayor Andrey Proshunin said.
Ozon reported a large fire at its hub in Enem, in the Krasnodar region, and another at a facility in Dagestan. It evacuated its warehouse in Krasnodar, where it said no one was hurt, and its centres in Adygeisk and Nevinnomyssk. A total of 110 flights were delayed at Sochi airport.
