Archbishop Paul Richard Gallagher, the Holy See’s Secretary for Relations with States, began a five-day visit to Russia today, the Catholic Herald reports, citing Vatican confirmation. On Aug. 25, Gallagher will meet Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Metropolitan Anthony Sevryuk of the Moscow Patriarchate, and on Aug. 26 he will meet Yuri Ushakov, President Putin’s foreign policy aide.
