The Spanish liberal newspaper El Mundo wrote yesterday that the CIA says that an anonymous source close to the Lithuanian Ministry of Defense says that Russia might attack Italy, France, or Spain with drones. The El Mundo report was item number one in most European tv news.
Italian Defense minister Guido Crosetto promptly reacted. “The alarm raised this morning by a Spanish newspaper—which speculates about possible attacks on Italy, Spain, and France by Russian ships and drones—is of no use to anyone and has no basis in fact,” Crosetto wrote in Italian on X.
