The impeachment resolution against Secretary of War Pete Hegseth filed by Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) was one of several bills on the agenda today, before Congress was to leave for a pause until after the November elections. But the vote was postponed by House Speaker Mike Johnson to make sure no public debate on the topic took place. He may have acted as well in order to prevent a vote for impeachment from some Republicans who have lost their patience with this satanic warrior. The resolution by Massie was specifically designated as a “privileged” resolution, which meant that it had to be voted on within two days. The decision by House Speaker Mike Johnson was not only cowardly, but also a serious breach of protocol, which may come back to haunt him come November.

Sentiment against Hegseth has been growing. Former congressman Dennis Kucinich, in an article posted on his Substack and sent out to his subscribers, gave thanks to Massie “for courageously drafting and presenting yesterday in Congress eight Articles of Impeachment which demonstrated that Secretary Hegseth has pursued war, death and destruction at his own instance. He has, in the name of the United States, illegally swept aside the Constitution and U.S. laws to carry out murderous actions which are totally illegal…. Every American should understand the gravity of the conduct of Secretary Hegseth: Unilateral initiation and continuation of war, the taking of life without due process, the abandonment of protections for civilians, the suppression of free speech, the separation of powers and the constitutional authority of Congress.”
