President Donald Trump announced on Sept. 14 in a Truth Social post: “Ukraine has agreed not to hit Russian Energy targets. Russia has agreed to do, likewise! The World’s Diesel price rise is mostly caused by the Russia/Ukraine War, not Iran.” He did not give any other details.
Zelensky responded roughly an hour later, saying that if Ukraine’s partners can ensure Russia genuinely refrains from striking Ukrainian facilities, “we are ready to ensure a corresponding halt to our strikes.”
