The average U.S. price of gas at the pump hit $4.30 per gallon on Tuesday; diesel hit $6.29. In California, diesel now costs $8.27 per gallon. This is worth noting, because California is the country’s #1 producer of agro products (which are hugely dependent on diesel), with $67.4 billion in agricultural production value, nearly twice as much as any other state.
