On Oct. 20, thousands of workers are expected to demonstrate in front of the European Parliament in Strasbourg, France, against the European Commission’s proposed “28th regime” (also known as the “EU Inc.” framework).

The European Commission’s “28th regime,” a dystopian scheme concocted by Ursula von der Leyen in March, is a legislative initiative designed to introduce an optional, pan-European corporate legal framework ("EU Inc.") alongside the 27 existing national company law systems.

Officially, the law would foster competitiveness by allowing startups, scaleups, and SMEs to bypass “fragmented national bureaucracies” and register fully digitally, and this within 24–48 hours for less than €100.
