Euronews’ Europe Today interviewed Mustafa Barghouti (a distant cousin of the famed political prisoner, Marwan Barghouti), who is the General Secretary of a West Bank political party, the Palestinian National Initiative (PNI), also known as al-Mubadara. Mustafa Barghouti’s message to Palestinians and Israel’s ‘Arab’ parties: Even though Eisenkot’s opposition grouping is completely flawed, the pressing need for Palestinians is to remove Netanyahu.

Barghouti stated: “All Zionist parties in Israel, whether in government with Netanyahu or in opposition, share the same views of rejecting Palestinian rights, including a Palestinian state, right of the Palestinians to self-determination, and the idea of ending the Israeli illegal occupation.” All “are supportive of continuing the genocidal war on Gaza.” However, an Israeli government led by Gadi Eisenkot would be better for Palestinians, because removing current Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu from power is the most pressing issue.
