Military Exercising To Continue Around Ukraine

In the Black Sea, the U.S./Ukraine-led Sea Breeze exercise rumbles on. A U.S. Navy Sixth Fleet press release trumpeted the air activities, including air shows, that are associated with the exercise, demonstrations that took place in Mykolaiv, Odessa. and Kulbakino involving U.S. and other international participants in the exercise. The Odessa air show took place on July 4 “to celebrate Ukraine Navy Day and U.S. Independence Day,” the Navy release said, though in fact, both countries have lost their independence to the British Empire.

The Sea Breeze exercise wraps up in four days, but the exercising will not be stopping there. The Ukrainian armed forces announced yesterday the coming of a land exercise, set to run July 17-30 and called “Three Swords 2021. ”This will involve the joint Lithuanian-Polish-Ukrainian Brigade and the U.S.. According to the report, “Three Swords 2021” is a multinational exercise that will be conducted as a command and staff exercise and training involving troops to conduct field maneuvers and involve more than 1,200 troops from the four countries. “The exercises create favorable conditions for the development and effective coordination of units of partner countries in order to improve the quality and increase the level of combat capabilities so as to be ready to ensure regional security,” it says.
