The clown show that is Britain’s Conservative Party apparently knows no bounds. Last week, some of the Tory leading lights put forward the name of Boris Johnson to be the next NATO Secretary General whenever Stoltenberg finally goes into retirement. A British candidate has long been tipped for the role, because of U.S. distrust around any European Union figures taking the job, given repeated suggestions of plans for a new EU army, the Telegraph (commonly called the Torygraph) reported on July 26. “Any distinguished Brit would be a great choice,” said MP Richard Drax, a senior Conservative member of the defense select committee. “If indeed that is what Boris Johnson wants to go and do, of course I would support that” (although just what makes him “distinguished” is anyone’s guess). Other MPs are quoted to similar effect, citing BoJo’s rabid support for the Kiev regime as one of his qualifications for the job.
