Belt and Road Counters ‘Malthusian Trap’ of Western Policies

Global Times, in the context of an article on leading engineers in the Belt and Road projects in Africa, notes that “China’s efforts in African countries through the BRI aim to offer support that enables them to overcome the Malthusian trap by providing sustainable public goods.” Using the term “Malthusian” with a sense that this is understood by its readers, and that the anti-BRI policies are a genocidal “Malthusian trap,” is a useful contribution to sanity, and a proper counter to the “debt trap” nonsense from the West.
