In a Nov. 19 posting on his Substack site, Gen. Michael Flynn (ret.) began with the straightforward statement: “Today, the world is likely closer to nuclear war than at any time since the Cuban Missile Crisis. In its closing days, the Biden Administration is stumbling our nation into a potential nuclear war with Russia.”
After a brief overview of Biden’s approval for Ukraine’s use of long-range missiles against Russia territory, Flynn then quoted Putin’s comments from his Sept. 25 announcement of a new nuclear doctrine, in which he warned that an attack against Russia by a non-nuclear power carried out with the support of a nuclear power will be considered a joint attack, and that Russia reserves the right to respond with nuclear weapons. “Do not take these words lightly,” Flynn said.
Flynn seems to offer the buckshot approach, proposing several measures to prevent the rapid escalation to nuclear war. He first calls for Vice President Kamala Harris to enact the 25th Amendment and remove Biden. Next, he calls on the House of Representatives to immediately file impeachment measures against Biden, “for endangering the nation by taking steps that constitute acts of war without a Declaration of War—a power the Constitution gives only to Congress.”
