In 1851, Irish-American economist Henry C. Carey wrote a book called The Harmony of Interests. In it, he distinguished the guiding principle of the newly formed American republic, namely, the equality of every human being, from the bestial approach of the British Empire.
“Two systems are before the world; … One looks to compelling the farmers and planters of the Union to continue their contributions for the support of the fleets and the armies, the paupers, the nobles, and the sovereigns of Europe; the other to enabling ourselves to apply the same means to the moral and intellectual improvement of the sovereigns of America…. One looks to increasing the necessity of commerce; the other to increasing the power to maintain it. One looks to underworking the Hindoo, and sinking the rest of the world to his level; the other to raising the standard of man throughout the world to our level.
“One looks to pauperism, ignorance, depopulation, and barbarism; the other to increasing wealth, comfort, intelligence, combination of action, and civilization. One looks towards universal war; the other towards universal peace. One is the English system; the other we may be proud to call the American system, for it is the only one ever devised, the tendency of which was that of elevating while equalizing the condition of man throughout the world….”
The fact that none other than King Tampon the Turd would be invited to address a joint session of the U.S. Congress honoring the “250-year special relationship” of the United States and the United Kingdom, indicates how few Americans have any understanding of, let alone dedication to, the founding principles of our Republic.
Eight-time U.S. Presidential candidate Lyndon H. LaRouche, Jr. was viciously slandered by the mouthpieces of that British imperial system, such as the Anti-Defamation League of B’nai B’rith, the New York Times, the Washington Post, and many other news organs, precisely because of his recruitment of leaders of billions of people around the world to an American system approach of economic development.
After the assassination of President John F. Kennedy and the Warren Commission cover-up, and the subsequent assassinations and Vietnam War, the United States became a post-industrial, imperial economy, with the American people dependent on goods produced by slave labor from abroad.
While the Epstein-class elites in the United States chose to silence LaRouche and ultimately imprison him, leaders of China, Russia, Brazil, Mexico, Nigeria, and even India listened to LaRouche. As a result, there is a resurgence of Henry Carey’s American system approach coming from those nations, which is lacking right now inside the United States.
On May 25th, 2025, China and Iran completed a 14,100-km rail corridor linking their nations through the otherwise landlocked countries of Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan. Do you think it is a coincidence that Israel bombed an Iranian oil refinery related to that route just 19 days after the corridor was opened?
The Anglo-Israeli campaign in Southwest Asia has also had a disruptive effect on the eleven-member BRICS Plus group, whose deputy foreign ministers just met in New Delhi, but were unable to issue a joint communiqué at the end because of disagreements over how harshly to condemn Israel’s war crimes.
Since Chinese Premier Xi Jinping announced the Belt and Road Initiative in Kazakhstan 13 years ago, and the BRICS established a joint development bank 12 years ago, tens of thousands of miles of modern rail, new deep-water ports, new nuclear power plants, and new water-management systems have been constructed all over the world.
While this has occurred, the United States and its European partners, under the guidance of global Britain and under threat from their Israeli hand grenade, have instead demolished such infrastructure, including infrastructure that they themselves depended upon, like the Nord Stream pipeline.
Because the populations of Europe and the United States, like most normal human beings, merely want to live in peace with a reasonable standard of living, the bankrupt imperial elite Epstein class is resorting to increasingly dictatorial measures to suppress the truth about the great global divide.
Citizens in the United States and Western Europe are not allowed to denounce the Israeli Netanyahu regime for the crimes against humanity it is committing. Currently, it has launched a genocidal war of aggression against southern Lebanon while it continues to kill people in Gaza and the West Bank with impunity.
Despite the attempted press blackout, the news of the atrocities committed by Israel is spreading, and the opposition to the U.S. and Israel’s war against Iran is growing. Americans are leaving the Democratic and Republican parties in droves, and independent maverick candidates are becoming increasingly popular. Not only did Zoran Mamdani win the New York mayoral election based largely on his opposition to the Zionist lobby, but in Maine, two-term Democratic Party Governor Janet Mills has just suspended her race for U.S. Senate, due to “lack of funds.” She was losing to an anti-AIPAC oyster farmer and veteran named Graham Plattner, who is taking the state of Maine by storm. Millions of younger Republican voters who were formerly part of the MAGA movement are following Marjorie Taylor Greene, Tucker Carlson, and Candace Owens out of the MAGA camp.
Unfortunately, with the exception of the LaRouche-affiliated candidates, Diane Sare, an Independent running for U.S. President, and Jose Vega running for Congress in the Bronx, most of these people have little to no understanding of the actual American system of political economy. Therefore, we of the LaRouche movement have a giant job to do and quickly.
Tune in at 11 a.m. ET today (May 1) for the 152nd meeting of the International Peace Coalition.
