Speaking at the African Union’s Committee of Heads of State and Government in El Alamein, Egypt, on Wednesday, November 4, Tanzanian Vice President Ndejembi stressed the idea of continental integration as a leading objective for the participants. The event was a biannual meeting in support of the AU’s Africa 2063 agenda; the audience for Ndejembi’s remarks was political leaders from across the continent.
As reported by Tanzania Insight, Ndejembi told the leaders that “The continent already has the policies, frameworks and institutions required to advance integration. The task now is to accelerate implementation, strengthen coordination and mobilize the resources needed to turn existing commitments into tangible results for citizens and African economies.”
