The Russian Foreign Ministry announced today that the Russian Armed Forces are launching “a series of systematic strikes” on Ukrainian military-industrial complex facilities in Kiev, reported TASS. The May 22 Starobelsk attack, in which Ukrainian drones killed 21 students at a trade-school dormitory in Lugansk, has been “the last straw.” The targets will include “specific sites for the design, production, programming, and preparation for the use of drones employed by the Kiev regime with the assistance of NATO specialists responsible for supplying components, providing intelligence, and guidance.” And because these facilities “are scattered throughout Kiev, we warn foreign citizens, including diplomatic mission and international organization representative office personnel, of the need to leave the city as soon as possible.” Kiev residents were warned not to approach “Zelensky’s regime’s military and administrative infrastructure facilities.”
Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov spoke by phone with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio to officially inform him that “in response to the Kyiv regime’s ongoing terrorist attacks against civilians and civilian objects on Russian territory, the Russian Armed Forces are launching systematic and consistent strikes against facilities in Kyiv used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces and against the relevant decision-making centers.”
