China-Africa Trade Figures Underscore Belt and Road Success

Global Times used the latest figures on Africa-China trade to celebrate the success of the Belt and road Initiative (BRI) strategy.

China’s imports of African goods reached $60.1 billion in the first half of this year, up 14% year-on-year, the Trade Ministry reported yesterday. Agricultural products are a major part of those imports, and this is the result of China’s policy of promoting agro-industrial development in African countries.
